Walden School is a private middle school providing high-quality education in a safe and caring environment. A challenging academic curriculum in a multi-graded classroom is offered to self-motivated students, who receive personal attention, guidance, and encouragement. Our purpose is to prepare our students academically, emotionally and creatively for any high school program they might choose. We want our young people to know how to learn and how to communicate what they have learned.

We believe that Walden is "OUR" school, meaning the students and the teachers alike. This is why we strive to create a welcoming environment for every single student, why everyone takes part in maintaining the classroom, and why everyone has a chance to speak up about issues that concern them, no matter how small those issues may seem.
We believe that educating is only a part of our job. The other part is to help the students become compassionate and empathetic members of society.
